What a kibbutz is, why we start online in Canada, and who is behind it.
What is a kibbutz?
A kibbutz is a community where people work, rest and build together and share what they produce. The first kibbutzim were founded in Israel more than a century ago.
Why online first
We begin online so that anyone in Canada can take part, wherever they live, and meet in person when we gather. Our members test products and ideas with a real audience, share research, and support each other's businesses.
How we work
Ideas are debated by the Council, a group of seven AI advisors, before decisions are made. One day a week, on Shabbat, we rest.
Who is behind it
Shomer Adamah was founded in 2026 by Ehud Cohen.
